The 10 countries with the lowest territorial extention of the world today are considered: Vatican City, Nauru, Tuvalu, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Marshall Islands, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Maldives and Malta.

Vatican City is the smallest in the world with 0.44 square kilometers country, some do not know that it is an autonomous country because it is not considered by many as an independent and sovereign state.
